Application Summary
The City of Central Point will consider adoption of the Comprehensive Plan Parks and Recreation Element covering a twenty (20) year planning period, 2018-2038. The purpose of the Parks Element is to guide City decision-making to ensure the parks and recreation system meets the needs of the Central Point Community. It addresses goals, policies and other management considerations toward the continuation of quality recreation opportunities and potential upgrades. The proposal reflects changes in the text, goals and policies since the last amendment of the Land Use Element in 1983. Applicant/Agent: City of Central Point.
Review and Approval Criteria
The amendment to the Parks and Recreation Element of the Central Point Comprehensive Plan is being reviewed using Type IV (Legislative) procedures in accordance with CPMC 17.05.500 of the Central Point Municipal Code. Approval criteria for comprehensive plan amendments are set forth in CPMC 17.96.
Public Participation
Any person interested in commenting on the Parks and Recreation Element update may participate in the public hearings with the Citizen Advisory Committee, Planning Commission and City Council, and/or submit written comments prior to the close of scheduled public hearings.
