Elected Officials

 

Elected officials serve four year terms, and the the election for these positions are held in November during a General Election. The Mayor and Council serve four-year terms. There are four ward positions and two at-large positions.  View the Ward Map to see who your Council Member is.

Your current Mayor and City Council are: 

Hank Williams
Mayor Henry (Hank) Williams

Hank Williams has proudly served as the Mayor of Central Point since being elected in 2002.

Hank Williams was born on a family farm south of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Both parents were Oregon Natives. He attended California State Polytechnic College for two years before being drafted into the U.S. Army. After his military service he obtained a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Sacramento State College.

Neil Olsen
Dr. Neil Olsen

Neil Olsen has practiced family medicine at Providence in Central Point since 2003.

He and his wife chose this area to raise and educate their 5 kids once Neil got out of the Air Force.  His MD was from Washington University in St Louis, MO.  His parents are still in Corvallis, where he did much of his schooling.  His undergraduate degree from Washington State was in Chemical Engineering.

Kelley Johnson

Kelley is grateful for the opportunity to be working with the Central Point City Council.  They are a great team to be a part of and their pride and love for our community is infectious.  She hopes her business and project experience, along with volunteer work, will bring added value to our community goals and vision.

Ward IV Council Member
Taneea Browning

Councilor Browning is a lifetime Oregonian, born and raised in Southern Oregon, and is the co-founder of CraterWorks MakerSpace, the executive director for Direct Involvement Recreation Teaching (DIRT), and has served as an elected official for nearly a decade. 

Council Member Michael Parsons
Michael Parsons

Mike was born and raised in Oakland California attending Parochial schools, Skyline High School, and Samuel Merritt College majoring in Criminology and Administration of Justice. 

Mike has been an Oregon resident since 1975, 16 of those years in Central Point.

Rob Hernandez
Rob Hernandez

Rob Hernandez has lived in the Central Point area for over 50 years. He, his wife Toni and their three children are all graduates of Crater High School. The first 21 years of Rob's working life were spent locally at Boise Cascade and for the past 22 years, he has been an owner of S&B James Construction Co. He is currently the co-founder and partner in Black Rock Coffee Bar, Inc.
