Police Property and Evidence
Property and Evidence
The Central Point Police Department Property and Evidence staff is charged with maintaining the integrity of the property and evidence in accordance with all department policies as well as state and federal laws. Central Point Police Department Property and Evidence currently has over 8,500 active pieces of property/evidence and is getting new property/evidence daily. All property taken into the Police Department is entered into a computerized tracking system and given a barcode for easy tracking.
The Property and Evidence staff also transport evidence to the Oregon State Police Crime Lab for additional processing and can be asked to testify in court.
