Biography
Elizabeth M. Simas, MiM, SHRM-SCP, PSHRA-SCP joined the City staff in August 2015, and has over 30 years of experience in human resources and payroll in both the public and private sectors. The director serves on the city management's executive team. Elizabeth was named the City of Central Point's 2018 Manager of the Year.
She has a Master's Degree in Management and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, both from Southern Oregon University. She has an A.A. in Computer Science from Los Angeles City College. Elizabeth also earned a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Management of Human Resources from Southern Oregon University.
She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA). Elizabeth is a Senior Certified Professional (PSHRA-SCP) designated by the Public Sector Human Resources Association (PSHRA) since 2005 and a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by the Society for Human Resource Management.
